Conference technology

We organise the conference technology for you: interpreting booths, sound equipment, technical support.

  • Do you also interpret via audio or video transmission?

Yes, you can book us for virtual liaison interpreting with video transmission. But we also offer hybrid settings. Are you planning a webinar or a virtual lecture? No problem! We are practised in video interpreting, are familiar with RSI (Remote Simultaneous Interpreting) and are prepared for all eventualities. This means that we can also help you with technical questions. Do you prefer Zoom, WebEx or Quonda? An RSI studio, for example, is often a good option that we can organise for you. Let's consider together what is the best option for your online event.

  • What is the difference between simultaneous and consecutive interpreting?

In consecutive interpreting, we translate individual sections of a speech into the respective target language with a time delay. This means that the speaker pauses after a few sentences and we translate. We don't need any technology for this. In simultaneous interpreting, we translate in real time, i.e. while the person on stage is speaking to the audience. In this case, we need technology.

  • What technique do you need for simultaneous interpreting?

Above all, we need an interpreting booth. This is soundproofed. This way we can listen to the speech through headphones and speak our translation into a microphone. The microphone is connected wirelessly to the receivers of the listeners.
